In yesterday's post, I praised the writers of Home and Away for their people smuggling storyline which lasted all of 2009.
Today, I am making one critical point on it that I didn't want to add to yesterday's positive feel.
I noted how Hugo Austin was shot and faked his death in order to go into witness protection. It didn't make much sense, though.
I'm not a gangster but wouldn't the person who wanted him killed know who she sent out to do it?
Austin's faked death was done by an Asian looking policeman in plain clothes.
Unless he was working undercover in that smuggling ring, and was ordered to do it, then - if I were one of the crime bosses - I'd be suspicious that his death was legit.
I guess I've spent far too much time wondering about this. It just doesn't make sense to me but I'm not letting it spoil the great way the entire storyline was written.
