I was looking through the Racing & Football Outlook yesterday afternoon as I was preparing to have a small bet on the night's football when I decided I would add a few greyhound races to my bet.
The paper gives out a few dogs each Tuesday and I hardly ever bet on them because I feel it is one of the most boring sports around.
If you can call it a sport.
Anyway, I added the six dogs to my bet and then - in the evening - I made sure to check the results after each race.
Out of the first five races, I got three winners and two second place (I did each-way).
The final race featured the dog that the paper had hyped up. It was their NAP of the week so I thought 'if the others did good, this one will definitely do it'.
But then the other thought crossed my mind.
Knowing my luck, this will be the one that loses.
And I was right.
I still have a few more selections on my bet so the fingers are still crossed.
