I bought the WrestleMania XXV DVD about a month ago but I didn't watch the Shawn Michaels vs The Undertaker match until my friend came over and watched it.
When I saw the event live on TV, I thought the match was possibly the best I had ever seen and I promised him that - when I got the DVD - he could come over and watch it. I even said 'I won't watch it 'til you see it'.
So, I spent the past few weeks watching bits and pieces of the show but made sure not to watch the match. I do keep my promises, you know!
Anyway, we watched it and it was great.
We both agreed, however, that it still didn't beat their match at the Badd Blood PPV on October 5th 1997.
That particular fight was the inaugural Hell in a Cell match and I can still recall the following morning both of us talked about the show and how the two tore the house down when everyone was still in shock at the passing of Brian Pillman who had died earlier that morning.
As for the Mania bout - it's not bad when you consider that Michaels v Taker is both one and two on my list of favourite matches.
