In For A T-Shirt, Out With A Pound

I kept getting emails all weekend from Sky Poker inviting me to join a VIP freeroll on their site. The prizepool was a guaranteed £300 and the top ten players would also be sent Sky Poker t-shirts.

I haven't really been in the mood for poker lately so I decided I wouldn't bother entering. I asked myself,'why waste my time in order to win a t-shirt?'

By seven o'clock I was sitting here bored. I then decided I would enter just to win the t-shirt!

Things must be really bad when I would rather enter a free game to win a t-shirt than enter a satellite to a live final.

There were five hundred and nine players and I made it past the first hour. Then - as this story usually goes - I changed my game-plan and ended up losing. I made it to fifty-fifth place.

I didn't win the t-shirt but I did win £1.20.
