Absolutely Kebabulous

I have a great memory. I am not bragging. I have been told by a few people.

One of these people came along four years ago today. I have mentioned her before (check last year's April 27th post!). We hadn't really been on good terms for almost two years but the two years that I did know her were special to me.

I want to leave a funny story here today that always makes me laugh when I reminisce about that time.

I found out whilst listening to the radio that it was National Kebab Week. So I sent her a text telling her. Why she even needed to know this I do not know. I guess I just wanted an excuse to text her and I found one. I typed 'It's National Kebab Week this week'in the text and sent it off.

I got an immediate reply saying 'Kebabs make me repeat'

At this point I tried deleting the message as my inbox was full but, for some unexplained reason,I forwarded my previous message by mistake. It was an accident that worked out in my favour.

As I was constructing a text message apologising for the repeated text message I got a response showing that she had found the text funny.

LOL.

I didn't need to reply! My mistake had generated a laugh out of her. I rode that accidental moment of genius for a few days until I finally told the truth about my faux pas.

Coming clean made it even more funny.

Yes, I do have a great memory. But only when it's worth remembering.
