Level Four

For the past few days I have been playing the shootouts at Ladbrokes and doing quite well.

I started off on the $3 level one table and worked my way up playing a level a day until I was eligible to enter the $100 table where the eventual winner walks away with $500.

I was cautious of when to enter the tournament as I wanted to be fully alert to ensure that I was free from error. I had a nap this evening and woke up refrshed and decided that tonight would be the night.

And I failed!

I finished fifth so was two places short of the third place prize of $150.

I threw away a lead when my all-in raise to steal the pot with A,10 was called by a pair of jacks. An ace came out for me on the turn but a jack had already arrived on the river. It was an uphill struggle from then on in.
