My parents left for their hoiday this morning. They are flying out of Bristol in the early hours of tomorrow to one of the Greek Islands.
When they had left I thought I would spend the day betting on the horses.
The idea lasted all of ten minutes as, after short consideration, I thought it would be best to spend my betting money on tonight's Champions League.
It didn't stop one horse urging me to bet, though.
Greek Renaissance was racing in the five o'clock at Salisbury. I decided I would wait until later in the day to bet on it.
And I forgot.
The horse ended up coming second at 4/7. I would have betted on it each-way but would have lost more than what I put on as a stake.
