The Big Revelation

On a previous post made in April I claimed to have been told a 'Big Secret' by someone who regarded me in high confidence.

Today was meant to have been the day I revealed this suprise because the cat would have been let out of the bag at 9.

But it wasn't meant to be.

I was told by a colleague (now former colleague) that she was having calls from the producers of Big Brother to appear in the new series. She had appeared at the Cardiff auditions or whatever you call them and she was put on the days shortlist.

Then she was called by the producer informing her that she would be asked to travel to London and meet someone who would be meeting her on the platform. She was given direct instructions not to tell anyone why she was heading back home to London for the day and not to approach anyone and rather to wait until someone came to her.

Ir was all cloak and dagger in the attempt to keep the press from finding out the housemates of the new series which begins tonight.

Yet, she won't be there.

I spoke to her on the phone a few weeks ago and because I was surrounded by other staff members I, too, got into the cloak and dagger subterfuge by asking her how her 'trip' to London went. She told me that she would tell me at another time but said she was asked things that were too personal and she decided to decline the chance to appear on the show.

I have never liked it but each Summer I always end up conversing with someone about it. The only thing that will save me from it this year is the World Cup.

I can't wait 'til kick off.
