As I had mentioned a few weeks ago I was invited to take part in the Inside Edge Gambling God competition this month.
I was asked to bet on six events this past weekend and went about researching the sports as best I could.
Well, I managed to luck out with a few of my tips and ended up winning this month's heat.
Here is a copy of the email I received this afternoon;
Hi David,
As you probably guessed, you absolutely kicked ass with your bets this
month! I'm happy to tell you that you shoot straight to the top of the
leaderboard a highly impressive 44.24pts profit. If I could get a few
lines from you on why you picked what you did esp. regarding the golf,
that would be very helpful.
You win a free £25 bet with bet365. If you forward me your username and can get your account credited.
Best regards
paul
The events I proved the best on were Golf and Rugby having picked Phil Mikelson to win the tournament at 5/1 and Jose Maria Olazabel to be Top European at 6/1. I had also picked Olazabel to win in handicap betting with 3.5 point advantage at 12/1.
The most satisfying win, however, came in the PowerGen Cup. I have no idea about rugby so tipped the match to be a draw at half-time and for London Wasps to win the game. The game was tied 10-10 at the break and the Londoners won netting me a 25 point profit from a one point stake. This result was what boosted me to the top of the leader board.
I looked back at the leader board from last year's Gambling God and the man in first place during the final month of the year had 19 points so I have walked over the competition from the previous season.
Let's hope nobody else comes along and pulls the rug from under me!
