Dear Gino,
It has been a day since I found out that you have passed away. I'm still in shock because - going by the later updates I had seen - it looked like the worst was over.
I don't really know what else to write about the past day after learning the news.
When I think about you now, and when I will in future, I will always remind myself of 2020.
It was the year the world changed for everyone. To get by, you gave the online community a nightly haven to escape the real world for a couple of hours (and then some) to listen to music from better times.
For one of those community members, their world was not only changing. It was ending. And you helped him see out those final days with your friendship and company.
When someone passes away, you often see people claim that 'I wish I could have said this' or 'I wish I could have said that'. I am thankful that I don't have that with you. I am glad I was able to tell you how much I respected you - and your family - for what you all did for your friend for those months.
It's tragic that you've followed him so soon afterwards.

that is just beautiful tay. and so true. life has changed greatly for all of us. gino was a good man. i am always thankful for the offer he made to me to go and visit nigel. and asking if i needed him to be picked up from the hospital. such a gent xxx
