Ronaldo's Potential Return

On Thursday night, I was going to write a post about Cristiano Ronaldo's return to the Premier League because I was following all the news about his move from Juventus to Manchester City.

It looked locked in, but I felt that I would wait a day or so until the deal was confirmed.

Well - what a shocker yesterday turned out to be.

I went to bed on Thursday night under the impression that Manchester City and Juventus had agreed to a sale. All it needed was for Ronaldo to pass a medical on Friday. Apparently.

When I was scouring the football news on Friday morning, one of the first things I saw was a quote from Manchester United's coach - Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - in which he said something along the lines of 'Cristiano knows where we are'.

It looked like a random quote on the surface. I didn't think anything of it. Until hours later when I read a report that City's attempt to lure Ronaldo had collapsed.

United took over from there.

The club agreed terms with Juventus and it's all down to getting a visa, a medical and Ronaldo to agree to personal terms with United - the team he played for from 2003 to 2009.

Amazing.
