Three Wrestling Deaths

It was an eerie day to be a wrestling fan yesterday with the news of three wrestlers passing on.

Brickhouse Brown, who spent the majority of his career working in southern US promotions like the USWA passed away after a fight with cancer.

Nikolai Volkoff, who I came across during the first wrestling boom in the eighties, died at the age of seventy following a heart condition.

And then there was the passing of Brian Lawler, who also wrestled in the USWA as Brian Christopher, but is more famous as being Grandmaster Sexay in the WWF's second boom period in the late nineties to early 2000s.

Lawler died after hanging himself in a prison cell.

All sad stories.
