The Dumbest Pun

Yesterday's The Sun on Sunday headline for Muhammad Ali's passing was quite rubbish, wouldn't you say?

I know what they were aiming to do (a play on one of Ali's famous quotes) but what they came up with was something absurd that doesn't make any sense.

Sting like RIP? Okay.

It's actually surprising that a newspaper that has created some legendary puns in the past came up with this. It's even more surprising that it even made it through the editing stage without the brain trust arriving to the conclusion that it's the dumbest pun that ANYONE could think of.
