Diego Costa's goal over the weekend meant that my £20 investment in him being the Premier League's top goalscorer this season has paid off.
Sort of.
As I've mentioned in earlier posts, I placed a top Premier League goalscorer bet with Paddy Power at the start of the season and, just like last year, I went with the Chelsea hitman.
I laid out £20 by betting on him £10 each-way. The incentive to bet with Paddy Power is that the firm gives me a £2 free bet every time Costa hits the back of a Premier League net (as long as it isn't an own goal!).
His goal against Newcastle United on Saturday was his tenth of the season, so I've made back my investment in free bets. I have even turned them into profit, so it's all downhill from here.
As for winning the bet itself - I think I need a miracle!
