Count Out Nick Cotton

I have been keeping an eye on the betting markets for the 'Who Killed Lucy Beale?' Eastenders storyline because I had placed a bet on Nick Cotton being the culprit.

I may as well give up hope.

Something crossed my mind the other day. It really should have struck me earlier.

If you have been following the story, you'll be aware that the detective Emma (can't remember her last name!) found out who carried out the murder and called them on her mobile.

She met them at the park and the camera showed her talking but did not identify the person she was speaking to. Her character was killed in a road accident a short while later giving the murderer another out.

Nick Cotton would not have been the character at the rendezvous.

As far as the police were concerned at that point in time, Cotton was dead. Furthermore, even if he wasn't faking his own death, it would be a stretch to suggest that the female detective would have him on speed dial.

The current favourite remains Abi Branning. However, newspapers claim that Jay Brown's odds have been shortening.
