I logged onto a betting site last night in order to check the prices available for the Academy Awards but I got there too late as they had been removed.
Not that I was intending to bet on them - I was just curious to see who the favourites were from a betting perspective.
What I did find in my search, however, was a list of potential X Factor judges for the next series (if it happens).
At the top of the list was Gary Barlow (2/1) followed by Michael Buble (5/1) and Piers Morgan (6/1).
Morgan being third on the list is a weird one as (a) he doesn't strike me as someone who could mentor a bunch of singers and (b) he has TV commitments in the USA with CNN.
Further down the list are names that are there for laughs. For instance Wagner and Katie Price are both at 100/1.
The names that stand out to me are - Peter Andre (16/1), Paula Abdul (25/1) and Sinitta (16/1).
Novelty market betting is a funny old game and so I wouldn't waste anything on it.
