Another One Biting The Dust

Another one of my favourite television series' is going.

This time it's ITV's Grantchester.

Grantchester

The period murder series, which is set in the Cambridge area of Grantchester (obviously!) during the 1950s, has been running for over ten years. It's about a local vicar who teams up with a detective (played by Robson Green) and they solve murders that have befallen the village.

I didn't name who plays the vicar because there have been three different leads over the years. The programme debuted with James Norton playing Sidney Chambers for four years. Sandwiched in the middle is Tom Brittney who was cast as Reverend Will Davenport from seasons four to nine. Then, from season nine to what will be the next year's finale is Rishi Nair, who plays Reverend Alphy Kotteram.

There are a lot of subplots that develop across each season with the numerous other characters in the series.

It's a bit of a bummer to see it go, to be fair. Especially considering the programme had brought in the new vicar midway through this year's season.
