So, I've Been Watching Bullseye On Challenge...

For the past fortnight or so, I've found myself catching episodes of Bullseye on Challenge TV before bed each weeknight.

However, I have now had to halt the new tradition.

Bulllseye on Challenge TV

Watching the game show, based on the game of darts, has been a fun experience because it has taken me back to Sunday evenings from the past.

In fact, I am almost certain one of the episodes I recently viewed is one in which I answered a question - back as a child - and received a surprise reaction from my family members.

I had been in Greece on holiday before the episode aired. My father had bought a book at the airport and it was about the SAS. I recall looking at the front of the book a lot during that holiday and making note of the SAS emblem with the words 'Who Dares Wins' written on it.

Anyway, weeks - possibly months - later, I was watching a game show and the question was 'What is the motto of the SAS?' I immediately guessed 'Who Dares Wins' and was right.

My aunt always used to come over for Sunday lunch back then (she also came on holiday to Greece with us that year, coincidentally). I remember she was in the party of people surprised that little old me got that question right. Considering it was during one of her Sunday visits, it must have been during Bullseye when I answered the SAS question.

So, if my estimate is correct, I rewatched that episode once again the other day. Almost forty years later!

That was the fun part of the past fortnight. The annoying part started a couple of nights ago.

The episodes have now started to repeat. It's a bit annoying considering there must be hundreds in the catalogue yet Challenge is airing ones that were on within the last two weeks.

It was a fun nostalgia trip while it lasted.
