NFL Spreadsheet And Database Betting: Week 14 2024

For the past few weeks, my NFL Spreadsheet and Database series had been delivering a run of 1-1 results. Last week's results broke that sequence. However, it was not to the positive.

The win-loss for Week 13 was 0-1-1 with the push coming in the form of my gamble on the Miami Dolphins versus Green Bay Packers to go Under 47. I was fortunate, if you can call it that, to get the push because the final score was 30-17 to Green Bay.

Last week's losing play was on the Vikings, as -3.5 faves, to beat the Cardinals. They did win the game straight up, but didn't cover the spread. The closing score was 23-22.

For this weekend, my spreadsheet and database both like the Buffalo Bills as favourites against the LA Rams and they also like the history of the Over in fixtures between the Raiders and Buccaneers.

My spreadsheet has the Bills to win by nine points. The current line has them at -4.5,

The database likes the play because - looking through the history of previous meetings between the two teams - the Bills have won six times out of eight. On seven of those occasions, the Bills were cast as the favourites and covered the spread five times.

The record goes to 4-0 if I were to only count the meetings when the Bills are the road faves, as they will be this weekend.

As for the Raiders' visit to Tampa - the spreadsheet has the game to go Over the total. However, it's by a short margin because the current line is 46 and my spreadsheet has forty-seven.

However, looking at the database, I have opted to take the risk because the Over-Under is 7-0-1 in meetings between the two teams dating back to the 1990s. The O-U record is 2-0-1 when the games have been played with the Bucs as the home team.

The database and spreadsheet series is evidently not performing as well after such a good start to the season. As of today's post, it has a record of 12-11-1
