It has been three months since I published this post on May 4th sharing with you the Empire Strikes Back watch strap I had picked as a birthday gift. I chose to begin wearing it on Star Wars Day.
As I now have four straps in total, I change things up every three months. The Star Wars strap will now go back inside its box until next May.
Before I put it away, I thought I'd add something which may be worth knowing about if you're deciding on buying one of these straps for yourself.
When I first picked the strap on Amazon, a review stood out because it warned that the Star Wars logo, which appears on the clasp ring, tends to rub off. One of the reviewers stated it disappeared after a day or so.
Aware of the problem, I made a conscious effort to never wear my watch in water and even took the watch off at night-time (something I rarely do if I'm not charging it).
My effort didn't prevent the logo from wearing away. The picture below shows how it has almost gone. The photograph was taken on July 11th. It has worsened since then.
It's annoying. The only positive is the images on the main parts of the strap remain unaffected.
