2024: The Year In Preview

At the start of each year, I write out a handful of predictions for the upcoming year in the January 1st post and then - on December 31st - I check back in to see where I went wrong.

Here are the guesses for 2024. And to misquote Paul Heyman: they are predictions not spoilers.

- The Miami Dolphins will make it to the Super Bowl

- The Conservative Government will somehow remain in power

- Cody Rhodes will win the 2024 WWE Royal Rumble and will choose Roman Reigns as his WrestleMania opponent

- CM Punk will face Seth Rollins at WrestleMania in the other title match

- Erik ten Hag will not be Manchester United manager by December 31 2024

- Here's something I have a bet on: Damar Hamlin will be named the NFL's Comeback Player of the Year

- I may as well go there again and say I will read ten Stephen King books (this means I'll have to get through everything from Nightmares and Dreamscapes (1993) right through to Hearts in Atlantis (1999)

- Home and Away will bring back one of its famous characters from the past

- When WWE Monday Night Raw's new TV deal is announced, whichever broadcaster has purchased the rights will reveal that Raw is moving to a different night

- Arsenal will win the FA Cup

- Anthony Richardson will not be the Indianapolis Colts' starting quarterback by Thanksgiving Thursday

- Kazuchika Okada - who is currently being courted by AEW, WWE and his current employers: New Japan Pro Wrestling - will remain with NJPW

- Bill Belichick will no longer be head coach of the New England Patriots
