Using My £2 Free Bet

In a follow up to yesterday's post, I thought I'd share with you what I spent a £2 free bet on.

After receiving the £2 from yesterday's 1-0 game between Manchester City and Newcastle United, I punted on today's West Ham United versus Chelsea game to have:

1) Both teams to score in both halves
2) Each team to receive a card

The odds were 16/1.

I watched the game from mid-way during the first half. At the time I switched it on, the score was 1-1 and there had been cards dished out.

The Hammers went 2-1 up in the second half, so I waited and waited for Chelsea to help me win my gamble by scoring their second goal of the game (and first of the second half).

By the eighty-eighth minute, I gave up hope. I cashed out my bet to return £4.80.

After cashing out, I finished off the game hoping Chelsea didn't score another. I didn't want my cash out to be proved premature.

There was another goal. 

West Ham scored a penalty in the dying minutes of additional time to make it 3-1 at the final whistle.

Strike that up as a successful use of the cash out feature. 

With that said, I'm still £5.20 from the weekend's betting. I have no plans to waste any more money until next week.
