'...Advent Calendars Are Here!'

I received an email from Boots yesterday. The subject line read:

Drumroll please... Advent calendars are here!

Upon opening the email, I was welcomed to this:

The chemist is selling advent calendars in August! I always assumed September was the perfect time. It seems August is the best month for Boots.

To be fair, we're not talking about the Lotto scratchcards I buy each September in readiness for December. Boots sells the really popular calendars that are sold by the big perfume companies.

For example, there is a Liz Earle calendar that is priced £75. A Ted Baker one is £46. There are may more.

I'll have to keep an eye out for the Lego Star Wars calendar for this year because having those sets have become a tradition in my home for the past few years (along with the National Lottery cards, of course).
