Going in, I was hoping that Liverpool would claim the title and continue their quest for the quadruple. Unfortunately, that didn't happen.
But it was very close.
At one point yesterday, Liverpool's then title rivals - Manchester City - were two goals down to Aston Villa. The reds, on the other hand, were tied 1-1 against Wolves.
They were set to win the Premier League trophy.
Then City mounted a huge comeback to win 3-2 while Liverpool closed out the day with a 3-1. It wasn't enough for the latter - the league table finished with the Citizens at the peak with ninety-three points and Liverpool immediately below with ninety-two.
Liverpool will now concentrate on a treble of cup wins when they face Real Madrid in the Champions League final this Saturday.
