I am typing this up moments after watching Italy win Euro 2020.
They beat England 4-2 on penalties after the game was concluded out of regulated time following a 1-1 draw.
Even though I had fun rooting against England throughout the month of football, I felt there was a strong chance they could win on pens. I had a £2 bet on them a few days ago.
Now all focus - in regards to international football - is on the World Cup in Qatar later next year. It's sure going to be interesting to see how Italy tackles competition from tournament teams from other continents.
I love the World Cup. It's so much better than the Euros!
