I Might Have Jumped The Gun On A Rooney Story

It seems as though I got ahead of myself in yesterday's post.

Wayne Rooney hasn't signed for DC United. It all seems like a power play to get rid of Sam Allardyce from Everton, if you ask me.

Today's news states that Rooney is in advanced talks with the American club, but would rather see out the final year of his two-season deal with Everton. According to the story, Allardyce going is dependent on whether he sticks with the Blues.

Just let Rooney go. We saw enough of his manoeuvring during his time at Manchester United. 

He's too old - and expendable - to be playing these games now.
