Scratchin' 2018 : Week 1

Last summer, I purchased a National Lottery scratch card and won £2 on it. Instead of cashing in my winnings, I bought more tickets. I repeated this just to see how far the £1 would take me. I ended up losing after spending the final five pounds on a Christmas-themed card.

I've expanded on this idea with a year-long experiment where I plan to scratch one card a day. Instead of purchasing one card per day, I plan on purchasing a strip that will see me through the month. I believe I have a better chance of winning something this way. I have already bought cards that will see me through January.

There is nothing positive to report as of today. I've just scratched the seventh card of the month and still haven't won a thing.
