Today is usually the day where I place a big bet on the third round of the FA Cup after doing a good deal of research and working out a handful of teams - or total goals - to have a punt on.
Not this year.
For some reason, I totally forgot about doing it. I didn't remember until yesterday afternoon when I noticed 'FA Cup' was trending on Twitter.
As soon as I saw the two words, I uttered two of my own.
There was no way I would be able to do what I always do in the short amount of time it would take.
I'll be back next year.
