It's that time of year again.
Today, and for the next three days, will see me share the bets that I will be placing on the Cheltenham Festival.
I've been doing this on-and-off since the first year of this blog. To be fair, I am not that great at this. I did start off well, but - as the years have progressed - I've been okay to dreadful.
For what it's worth, here's how I've fared over the years.
2006 - I finished in profit
2007 - After a good 2006, I went a little silly the following year. My records show I was £65 in the red before the final day
2008 - I didn't bet in '08. I did a fun few posts where I selected horses based on their names
2009 - I didn't share my bets this year
2010 - I didn't cover the Festival in 2010
2011 - After a dreadful start, I managed to turn things around on the final day and finished off the week with a £1 loss.
2012 - £14 down
2013 - £3.89 down
2014 - £2.18 down
For the last three festivals, it's worth noting that I placed a bet on every race so - to be down by that much after a little over 25 races - I wasn't THAT bad.
But, yes, I was still bad.
For this year, I'm going to revert back to the idea I came up with in 2006 and select up to three horses for each race, It worked back then, let's see if I can pull it off ten years later..

2:50 - THEATRE GUIDE (£2 To Win),CAROLE'S DESTRIER (£1 each-way)
3:30 - THE NEW ONE (£2 To Win), SEMPRE MEDICI (£1 each-way)
4:10 - BITOFAPUZZLE (£2 To Win), VROUM VROUM MAG (£3 each-way)
4:50 - DEFINITELY RED (£2 To Win), VICENTE (£1 each-way)
5:30 - BOUVREUIL (£1 To Win), DOUBLE SHUFFLE (£1 each-way)
The horses highlighted in blue were placed with Betfair.com as the company has a special where customers can get three free bets if they pick a winner (3/1 SP or above). So, say for example, Theatre Guide wins the Handicap Chase and I have bet £2 at 14/1, I get my winnings plus £6 in free bets for other races. This could help me out with the races for the rest of the week!
