I watched the Seattle Seahawks play the Green Bay Packers in the early hours of Monday morning and it hit me. There's something HUGE missing this year.
I really am missing Mike Carlson.
He's the guy who has worked on the NFL's free-to-air coverage in the UK for what seems like forever. He has worked for Channel 5, the BBC and Channel 4 and his insight is great.
This year, there is no regular season football so I had to watch the NBC coverage of the game on NFL GamePass. I could have watched Sky, but they don't do the inserts. It was these inserts that carried me through the late Sunday games.
It's a shame the NFL couldn't work out weekly coverage on one of the FTA channels.
