Yes, Scotland's favourite dish has not been welcomed into the Land of the Free since 1971.
I found out this news yesterday afternoon when I learned that Owen Paterson, the UK environment secretary, was meeting his US counterpart to try and lift the ban.
The aforementioned ban is due to it being illegal to eat sheep lung over there and, as haggis is made up of that ingredient, importing it is a no-no.
It does not affect me what happens. I just thought it was an interesting story and I'll be keeping an eye out to see if there is a resolution to it.
