The film celebrated its twenty-fifth birthday yesterday.
There is no doubt that Planes, Trains & Automobiles was one of the films I remember fondly from my childhood. I even had the poster of it on my wall at one stage of my life. That's how much it meant to me. I would make an effort to watch it at least once every November or December.
A few years ago, I purchased it on DVD and introduced my nephew to it. He loved it, too. He went so far as to request me buy it for his birthday a few months later.
I guess that right there proves how it still has its charm after a quarter of a century.
