Twenty-Three Years Down The Drain

When I was looking at the football matches on the bookies' list, one game that stood out to me was the Manchester United versus Tottenham meeting at Old Trafford.

I was tempted to place a bet on the Red Devils but doubt set in when it came time to back them

Firstly, I have started realising it's probably not a good idea to back a team that has a Champions League game upcoming.

I also didn't like the game being played on a Saturday. As most of the selections I bet on take place on a Sunday, I dislike having a losing bet carrying forward from the previous day.

With all that noted, I was still tempted. After all, it had been twenty-three years since Spurs won at Old Trafford.

I'm glad to say I followed my instincts and left the game off my main bet for the weekend.

Spurs won 3-2.

A great result for both them and myself.
