Thoughts On Machynlleth

I've been following the news coverage of April Jones' abduction and apparent murder since the news broke.

Such a tragic story.

The only good thing I can say about this entire thing is how positive the Machynlleth community are.

They searched together, prayed together and ultimately grieved together when it was announced that the kidnapping was now being investigated as a murder.

It was the first time I had ever felt sorry for not just the family or a murder victim but for the whole community.

I don't even know if I am articulating my views correctly.

It's just that, from everything I have seen and read, the strength of those people working together doing their best to find the young girl was a sign to me that community spirit is still alive and well in places like Machynlleth.

It's a damn shame that it had to take a dreadful act to highlight this fact.
