No Easy Day

I've been reading the current hot-topic book - No Easy Day.

The book is written by a former Navy SEAL (given the assumed named of Mark Owen) who was one of the team leaders on the mission that led to Osama Bin Laden being killed.

It was an interesting read. It did contradict some of the stories that were published last year and I bet that is why the people in the US Government and Military were not happy that they did not get to view the book before it was published.

I can see the point where some would feel 'Owen' was doing wrong by revealing Navy SEAL business. However, he does have a right to tell his side of a story - especially if you consider what he gave to his profession.

When we're all gone and people are studying our history, it will be good to have sources like this around. After all, whose story would you like to read - people with an agenda or someone who was in the line of fire and was a primary witness to what went down?

I know which one I'd go for.
