Three Thoughts

- I was sorry to hear of Sid Waddell's passing. Waddell was one of the best sports commentators ever. I first started liking his work when he joined Sky in the 1990s. His enthusiasm for darts was brilliant. It was his wacky analogies and metaphors that made watching darts fun.

- I watched the Indianapolis Colts' first preseason game of 2012 last night. I was anticipating seeing how Andrew Luck would perform on his debut for the team. How about throwing a pass that resulted in a touchdown in his first act as a pro player? Things may be looking up for the Colts. I hope.

- I'm watching the closing ceremony of the Olympics as I'm typing this up ready to post on Monday morning. I thought the 2012 Olympics was the best one I've seen. I think it had more to do with the country being up for it. I caught the bug.
