And With The First Pick In The 2012 NFL Draft, The Indianapolis Colts Choose...

A fortune cookie message I found a few weeks ago
Andrew Luck.

When the Colts were doing badly in the 2011, I was looking forward to seeing whether they would be in contention to land Andrew Luck.

I hadn't seen him play that much but - everywhere I read or listened - there was praise for the quarterback.

Luck is apparently the best player in that position to come along in quite a while so there was no doubt he was going to be the the first pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.

Sure, the pick hasn't been made yet. That takes place in the early hours of tomorrow morning.

The cat is already out of the bag, though.

The Colts have already announced that Luck will be their quarterback from now on.

Washington - who hold the second pick in the draft - will be picking Robert Griffin III. He's a player I have seen a lot of and - if I am to be honest - I would have preferred it if he was selected by Indianapolis.

Luck and Griffin will be two players to look out for in the future.

And that future begins tonight.
