Finally.
The post you have all been waiting for.
Maybe not.
A number of months ago, I wrote about how I had watched the film Troll after buying a 2-film set featuring the film and its sequel. I wrote how I had seen Troll when I was younger but hadn't seen part two.
Over the years, Troll 2 has become a cult favourite due to the poor ratings it has received from critics. A movie documentary - Best Worst Movie - was released last year highlighting the popularity of this dreadful movie.
And that's all I can use to describe it.
Or, I could go one further.
Absolutely dreadful!
The sequel only seems to have a relationship to the first movie in name only. None of the original actors or even puppets appear in it.
The film is about a family that goes on a holiday to a small American town where the townsfolk seem hellbent on feeding the family. The food is meant to turn the humans into trees or plants so the town people - who are really goblins - can feed on them.
The young boy of the family - after getting warnings from his grandfather from beyond the grave - tries his best to prevent the others from eating any of the food. On a side note, the food has green-coloured liquid on it. Why would anyone want to eat it, anyway?
Of course, there is a little bit more to this story but that is the gist of it.
The effects were dreadful. The acting was dreadful. The storyline was dreadful. The dialogue was dreadful.
Usually, I would end my posts warning the reader to stay well away if I thought something was this bad.
Not here, though.
I urge you to seek this film out. I want you all to view it and enjoy it. Bad is good.
