Punk Is Back (And I Have My Reservations Now)

Has the Summer of Punk gone flat already?

I'm thinking it's heading that way after last night's episode of WWE Raw.

CM Punk returned to WWE at the close of the show to have a stare down with John Cena who had just won the interim world championship from Rey Mysterio (who had claimed it against The Miz earlier in the show).

Punk came out with new entrance music and was wearing the title belt he had won two Sunday's ago.

It's looking extremely likely that the main event for SummerSlam is going to be a unification match between the pair.

I can't help but feel disappointed in the way this angle has followed up. I could end up back in favour of it but, as I write this, it feels like the legs have been cut off after all the exciting and newsworthy things we have seen since Punk's worked shoot promo a number of weeks ago.

I know he was going to return eventually, I didn't think they would book it to be this soon.
