I laughed when I read that Countdown had to be halted during recording when one of the contestants found an eight letter swearword out of the nine letters selected on the board.
D, T, C, E, I, A, S, H and F were picked out and the student claimed 'Shitface' in an attempt to get the eight points.
The word does appear in the dictionary so, technically, it should have been accepted but the producers wouldn't allow it and they had to start drawing new letters out again.
What made the situation even more funny is the contestant could have added the remaining D to the end of the word to get nine points.
Not that that would have been granted.
