I spent the best part of yesterday watching coverage of the rescue of the Chilean miners that had been trapped in a copper and gold mine since early August.
The entire mission was covered on BBC and Sky News. I spent the morning and afternoon watching BBC and then had Sky News on for the latter stages.
There was a story behind each life that was saved. Watching them being winched to safety was remarkable, seeing the faces of their family members was even more powerful.
The world's eyes were on Chile yesterday. When I first read about this mining accident, I doubted the country would have the ability and means to rescue these men.
They certainly made a believer out of me.
