It seems that every year - around this time - I have a post dedicated to Brett Favre.
And this year is no different.
The Minnesota Vikings' quarterback is, once again, talking retirement.
Apparently, the word is he doesn't know whether his ankle will be able to handle the gruelling season that awaits him and has told those close to him that retirement is looming.
It won't be the first time he has retired.
Nor his second.
The 'will he?/won't he?' questions always flares up around the time preseason kicks off and then, with a few weeks before the start of the season, he is raring to go.
Ironically, this was the first year since 2005 or so that I felt he was definitely going to come back.
With that said - my stance is simple: I won't believe he has gone until that first snap against the New Orleans Saints on September 9th.
