Mondays Will Never Be The Same Again (For A While)

One of the things I have noticed surfing the Internet wrestling news sites is the consensus feeling that their job will get a lot harder each Monday night now that TNA Impact will be going head-to-head with Monday Night Raw.

More experienced writers would have already dealt with this scenario back in the late-90s to 2001 when WCW Nitro was up against the WWE show.

It's going to be interesting to see how things are done although I won't be making any effort whatsoever to try and catch any of the shows live.

For a start, TNA isn't on live over here in the UK so I would have to watch it online and - after January 4th - the fun of seeing two shows going head-to-head has gone.

It also took me days to catch up with my body clock. A younger me would have coped. Nowadays, I simply record Raw and watch the following morning while eating breakfast - it's so much easier.

In my opinion, the new Monday Night War will be short-lived.

I've got a feeling it will last less than a year. WWE is too big nowadays to be a pushover and TNA have proved time and time again that their new approaches have ended up being false dawns.

Going live on Mondays is another one of those sunsets.
