After yesterdays post, I realised that the UFC 100 event was available to people in the UK via the UFC website.
They had made it possible for those without access to Sky Channel 433 to watch it so good for them.
I went to sleep early intending to wake up at three to watch it.
I woke at 1am.
And went back to sleep.
I didn't wake again until 5am so I came online and the introductions for the Brock Lesnar vs. Frank Mir match was underway. So, I managed to see the fight I wanted to see the most.
It was the result I wanted, as well.
A lot of posters on a Las Vegas message board I look at had Mir to win. He beaten Lesnar in his opponent's UFC debut and that was one of the angles all the bettors had on why Lesnar was going to lose again.
I disagreed. I figured the loss would have played more on Brock and he would have gone in there with seventeen months more experience and a number of key wins under his belt. And when I say 'under his belt' I mean it - he is the UFC heavyweight champion.
I was right, Vegas insiders were wrong. Lesnar won in the second round.
