What is it with people?
I wanted to watch the Amir Khan fight on the weekend. I refuse to pay Sky for boxing so I found a website that was illegally playing the event.
I managed to catch it from the fourth round and thought it was the best performance I had seen from Khan.
I've never been a fan of him as I think he is a flash in a pan and has been over-hyped since his silver medal in the Olympic games.
Judging from what I saw on Saturday night, there are a lot of people who dislike him because of his race rather than the way he has been promoted.
The website I was watching this feed on had a chat function on the right of the video and - from the moment I opened the browser to the final bell - all I saw was racial hatred towards the fighter.
It made me sick.
I like using the Internet but Saturday night tested my patience with people. It's a sad state of affairs when there are folks out there with so much anger and hatred for people that they would do their best to communicate this emotion to other people who are trying to enjoy a fight.
I was thinking about saving some of the comments that stood out but decided against having that stuff anywhere on my computer. There was no way it was going to be posted here just in case it was taken out of context and used as a quote from myself rather than these despicable individuals.
Sick. Sick. Sick.
