Wins Happen In Threes : Rules

As I have noted in previous posts, this weekend will see the launch of a new betting game I have made up.

This series will take place weekly over the next three months. As it runs for this amount of months, I have decided that the number three will be specific to the bets I make.

Below are the rules I have set:

1) Each week, I have to do a block bet featuring nine selections.

2) The nine selections will be split into three genres. For example; correct score, first goalscorer and match result. It doesn't have to be football markets, either. I may choose to have three genres dedicated to different sports so I could have a week with 3 baseball, 3 football and 3 rugby selections. It gives me a chance to be free with my picks this way. With all that said, the majority of the picks over the three months will be soccer-themed.

3) I can only pick three selections per genre a week.

4) The amount staked per line will be 3p.

5) A special 'single of the week' will also be placed. This may be a bet I like that did not make the final nine. The amount staked on this single will be £3.33 a week.

6) Selections will be posted as early as Friday and as late as Sunday.

7) Results and Profit/Loss will be calculated each week.

8) A week off will take place on the weekend of the 28/29 March.

9) The final week will be the weekend of 2/3 May.


That's all the rules I can think of at the moment.

I had originally planned to call it the 3-3-3 game but I thought 'Wins Happen In Threes' would be a better title.

I am going in to this thing knowing I will be laying £18.66 a week which means I'll be putting in £223.92 over the three months.

I emphasise the point that I am doing this for fun. It is always best to start with low expectations by knowing how much will be staked overall.
