I was surprised that Chelsea pulled the plug on Phil Scolari yesterday afternoon.

I had visions of him lasting the season at least. Things were obviously not going too well for him after a decent start.

There are tons of names being linked with the job. My personal choice would be the former Barcelona coach, Frank Rijkaard.

I've always thought he would be an ideal manager for the team. In fact, I made a post last year stating that Rijkaard would be best suited for the role. Days later, Scolari was given the job.

The other names being circulated are - Guus Hiddink, Carlo Ancelotti and, surprisingly, Avram Grant.
