The Hitman : My Story By Ricky Hatton

Ricky Hatton's autobiography, The Hitman : My Story was an interesting read.

It was ghost-written by Niall Hickman and I think a lot of credit has to go to him because he manages to capture Hatton's voice and keep it constant throughout the book.

I enjoyed reading his journey from being a landlord's son to main eventing Las Vegas. A dream that every boxer wishes.

The most informative part of the autobiography was his dealings with Frank Warren. It is an eye opener for the way certain promoters work within boxing.

Warren appears to be a selfish businessman who milked the cash cow of Ricky Hatton before the boxer realised how he was getting ripped off and ended their business relationship.

Warren's actions after this divorce is similar to that of a child who didn't get his own way and should be a hazard sign for all those willing to work with Warren.

Like I said, it is an interesting read and if you're in to boxing or British sports icons this comes recommended.
