One Night Stand Thoughts

Let's just say that last night's WWE pay-per-view had its moments. Here are a few thoughts I have this morning.

- That Jeff Hardy dive from the truck must have been recorded earlier in the day. The camera was conveniently far away from the landing spot so a good editing job would have had padding in the way for the bump and then move Umaga into place.

- I heard that Batista was going to be taking the Summer off after the event. The way the match ended coupled with the Undertaker being forced to retire from his TLC match makes me wonder whether the information that got out was a swerve and Taker is the one going on hiatus.

- The Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match was full of some interesting spots. The finish surprised me as I didn't expect the Undertaker to be gone (see above).

- Randy Orton will be out, too. His broken collarbone looked sickening!

-Did you notice that the ring apron had 'Extreme Rules' on it and not the 'One Night Stand' logo? The show was called 'One Night Stand : Extreme Rules' so I think they are going to re-brand the pay-per-view next year and just call it 'WWE Extreme Rules'. The company did something like this last year when they subtitled their Vengeance event 'Vengeance : Night of Champions,' this year's end of June PPV is now simply called 'Night of Champions.'

- That was a mouthful.

- Batista saying 'I don't love you, I'm not sorry' to Shawn Michaels played on Michaels' 'I'm sorry, I love you' to Ric Flair at WrestleMania was an interesting part to the match.

- At least the company now has four weeks to build the next event. The two week build-up for last night's week was weak.
