Last night's WWE pay-per-view, Night of Champions, was intended to answer the question in regard to the top two titles in the company.
Following the draft on Monday, both titles ended up on Smackdown. After last night, they remain on the show.
Batista - who was the World championship contender - was drafted to Raw and WWE champion, Triple H was moved over to Smackdown. Both wrestlers were in title matches. Raw's John Cena was facing Triple H and Edge was defending his strap against Batista.
If both challengers had won their matches, both titles would have moved to Raw. Instead, we saw both the champions retain their belts.
I was assuming that we would have at least seen one of the belts move to Raw considering it has been regarded as the WWE's A-show for over fifteen years.
I don't really know what direction they are going to go with both belts on the same brand so I can't even offer a suggestion. All I do know is WWE are moving Smackdown to a new channel in the USA in the Autumn and they needed to strengthen the line-up so there is method to their madness.
I'm sure we'll see a storyline development within the next few episodes of Raw and Smackdown which will end up with a world title back on Monday nights.
I guess I'll have to start tuning in to Smackdown.
